2. MARATHI VISHWA ESSAY COMPETITION 2009
To help preserve and promote the interest of the younger generation in the culture and history of INDIA -the country their parents came from, Marathi Vishwa has conducted an essay competition for the last 10 years.
Essay topic is announced in June each year, last date to submit application is August 15 and the winners are announced at Marathi Vishwa’s Diwali program.
This year the subject of the essay was:
WHAT DOES MY INDIAN HERITAGE MEAN TO ME?
Limit: 1500 words.
Language: English
First Prize: $200 and Babasaheb Purandare Trophy
Second Prize: $ 150
- The competition is open to all Indian youths living outside India.
- Age limit 15 to 25 years.
- Please send a CD of your typed essay and hard copy by August 15 to the following address:
