Gita Jayanti 2025
December 7th, 2025, was an unseasonably warm, golden morning in Dayton, NJ, where Marathi Vishwa welcomed its members to the community hall to celebrate the Gita Jayanti event.
On a beautifully decorated table, a divine statue of Lord Krishna, adorned with a jasmine flower garland, blessed the audience. The fragrance from the scented candles and fresh flowers, prasad, made the atmosphere serene and refreshing and full of devotion.
The event kicked off on time. The entire event of Gita pathan took place for more than 2 hours in a fully synchronized rhythm, with 50+ attendees reciting eighteen Adhyaya in fluent Sanskrit. It was really a magical and spiritual experience.
During the break, hot masala tea and snacks were served. After the aarti, prasad lunch was offered, featuring Sabudana khichadi, potato parathas, and Rasmalai. Attendees shared life experiences related to the Bhagavad Gita. The response was wonderful, and we are confident that everyone in the audience benefited from this interactive session.
With Lord Krishna’s blessings, everything went well. We extend our sincere thanks to all the attendees for their presence and to the volunteers who supported us in various aspects of the event.
The event was led by MV board members Anirudha Niwargi, and Vrushali Bhawtankar, with support from other board members, Mandar Kelkar, Trushna Thakur, and Salil Parkar.
