MV Diwali 2024
Marathi Vishwa Diwali celebration on November 16th 2024 was a huge success with two houseful plays, delicious lunch, Rangdeep Diwali Ank Prakashan, the Relaunch of the MV Teens initiative, and a very festive atmosphere brimmed with beautiful decorations and Diwali displays, and vendor booths buzzing with shoppers. The venue search was a major effort this time due to fall festivals. The registration started at 9 am sharp, and with the help of dedicated volunteers, we checked-in a record number of attendees throughout the day.
The first play of the day was the 550th milestone prayog of the superhit mono acting show ‘Varhad Nighalay Londonala’ by the extremely talented artist Mr. Sandeep Pathak and it was received with tremendous enthusiasm by our audience. He expressed his appreciation for the love, warmth, and hospitality extended to him.
In the second half if the day, popular NJ theater production house, ‘Theatrix’ presented their new production called ‘Bandh-Mukta’. An intense drama that hooked the audience to their seats and was applauded for its superfine storyline, direction, and gripping sequences while the artists aced in their characters.
Decoration team beautifully showcased all five auspicious days of Diwali and Tulsi Lagna with puja set up We loved to see the creativity of young participants for displaying Killa/ Kandil/Flower Rangoli. As always, the vendor booths created a festive atmosphere with their beautiful, creative products as well as valuable services including social causes. People enjoyed shopping and visiting their booths. Food and Food Logistics were a major undertaking at the MV Diwali event. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the scrumptious food and Hot Masala tea which was prepared by Mejwaani. The Food Logistics team set up four food stations within the cafeteria, to efficiently serve a record number of people within 1.5 hours. The tea serving stations were conveniently located near the auditorium, where the members could sip the tea and mingle with friends in a short break of 20 minutes. A big shout out to all the volunteers and MV Teens in serving and keeping the lunch lines moving fast.
Diwali faral, Rangadeep, and Kalnirnay have gained so much popularity among MV members over the years. As per Marathi Viswa culture this year also, the packing and distribution of Rangadeep and Kalnirnay went smoothly. A systematic process was followed for distributing faral boxes post event.
The relaunch of MV Teens at Marathi Vishwa Diwali 2024 was a tremendous success! We have received nothing but positive feedback about how MV Teens were such a great help at the event. We are grateful for the support shown by our community by donating items and money for MV Teens FIRST Donation Drive of hygiene products collected for the Matawan Community Food Pantry.
