- ‘Mukkampost Bombilwadi’ Movie Screening_11th Jan 2025: MV held a successful screening of this movie that was attended by a sold-out audience at Big Cinema, Edison, NJ. The movie captivated the viewers with its engaging plot and excellent comedic sense, making the event a memorable cinematic experience for all attendees.
- MV Sankrant Event 2025_January 25th, 2025: This vibrant event was held at Shri Guruvayurappan Temple, Morganville, and opened with a traditional dance performance, which showcased the rich cultural heritage of Maharashtra. ‘Bornahan’ and ‘Halvyache Dagine Ramp Walk’ were the highlights of the event, adding excitement and enthusiasm to the celebrations. A delicious meal was served, offering a taste of traditional delicacies, which delighted everyone present at the event.
- Make a Difference: Marathi Vishwa partnered with the Maharashtra Foundation to support the LA Fire Relief cause by contributing a donation of $2,000. Also, we encouraged the MV community to contribute to this impactful fundraising campaign and received a wonderful response.
- MV Drawing & Coloring Competition 2025_8th February 2025: This event was sponsored by Mr. Chetan Wattamwar and was held at First Presbyterian Church, Matawan, NJ. The competition saw noteworthy registrations. Refreshments were provided for participants and guests alike. Certificates of participation were awarded to encourage the young artists and to recognize their creative efforts.
- MV SwaraDhara 2025_1st March 2025: The most awaited and prestigious Hindustani Classical Music Competition was held at First Presbyterian Church of Matawan, NJ, and was judged by Shri Hemkalyan Bapat, Smt. Rucha Muley Jambhekar, and Smt. Yoshita Chandrani. The competition brought out the best in classical music talents, offering a platform for participants to showcase their skills and passion for music.
- MV Kavya Dhara 2025_8th March 2025: A Marathi Poem Recitation competition was held at First Presbyterian Church, Matawan, NJ, featuring performances by children in different age categories. This event was judged by Rahul Gune and Neeta Purav. The event highlighted the literary talents of young poets, fostering a love for Marathi poetry and encouraging creative expression.
- MV Sahityakunj & Balkatta 2025_8th March 2025: A literary event held at First Presbyterian Church, Matawan, NJ, saw 35+ participants presenting their original Marathi writeups in various genres. The event celebrated the richness of Marathi literature, providing a platform for writers and readers to connect and share their love for the language.
- (NJIT) Makerspace for a hands-on workshop March 15, 2025: MV’s collaboration with the New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT), Makerspace for a hands-on workshop was both educational and enjoyable for our MV Teens/ HS students. This workshop featured hands-on glider design, offering participants an exciting opportunity to engage in practical learning and innovation. The glider flying competition added an element of fun.
- MV’s Gudhi Making Workshop_23rd March 2025: An online workshop conducted by MV member, Mrs. Megha Vanarase, where participants learned to create their own Gudhi. The workshop was held just before the Gudhi Padwa festival, allowing participants to prepare and celebrate the event with their handmade creations. The detailed instructions and tips provided by Mrs. Vanarase ensured a successful and enriching experience for all.
- Swaranjali_30th March 2025: MV held a classical music concert by Vidushi Devaki Pandit at Balaji Mandir, Bridgewater, NJ. The concert featured various traditional Hindustani classical and semi-classical presentations, including Natya Sangeet, Bhavgeet, Bhajan, and Abhang, which contributed to the vibrancy of the program. The event concluded with Raag Bhairavi pieces ‘Kaivalyachya Chandanyala’ and ‘Avagha Rang Ek Jhala’ for a stunning finale. The audience was captivated by Devaki Tai’s performance, making it a truly memorable and rewarding experience.
