MV Gita Jayanti 2024
Marathi Vishwa organized the annual Gita Jayanti celebration on December 8th, 2024.
Around fifty-five MV member patrons, including the youngest two-year-old toddler, graced the occasion. A divine statue of Lord Krishna adorned with jasmine flower garland was placed on a beautifully decorated table, The fragrance from the scented candles and fresh flowers, prasad in silver bowls, and the presence of young and old Bhavik’s made the atmosphere serene and refreshing.
The event kicked off right on time by MV committee members and event leads Trushna Thakur and Anirudha Niwargi. Gita Pathan was started under the able leadership of Ranjana tai & Shashi Deshmukh, Kaustubh Lele, Ashwini Belhe, Pradeep and Vrinda Deval, and Snehal Vaze, and continued for almost three hours in full synchronized rhythm. Everyone recited the Adhyay together fluently in Sanskrit, which was a wonderful experience for all attendees.
Everyone enjoyed hot masala tea and refreshments during a halfway break. After Gita Pathan, aarti, and prasad, everyone enjoyed a light lunch of Sabudana khichadi, Upma, and Gulabjaam.
In the after-lunch sessions of around an hour and a half, attendees regaled everyone with interesting experiences that they had encountered in their personal lives related to Bhagwad Gita and also from other spiritual books. We had a wonderful response to the Gita Pathan and everyone loved sharing their personal experiences.
Special mention to the Pathan planning team (Kaustubh Lele, Pradeep and Vrinda Deval, Mukund Satawlekar, and Ashwini Belhe) and our key event volunteer Santosh Manjrekar. The MV Board Members Trushna Thakur and Anirudha Niwargi led the event and were supported by Dipti Karkhanis and Mandar Kelkar.
With lord Krishna’s blessings, the whole event went well. The MV team is looking forward to seeing you all next year. Enjoy the links:
