Marathi Vishwa Trustees and the Board of Directors wish to inform all that we have chosen Mr. Anand Chouthai, as Marathi Vishwa New Jersey’s BMM Representative. This announcement was also made during MV Ganeshotsav 2023 during the ‘shapatvidhi’ ceremony.

Anand was elected in June 2023 this year to replace Mr. Amar Urhekrar, who moved out of state in January this year. BMM Executive Committee has made the decision and have informed us that we are not allowed to change our BMM Representative in the middle of the year (even if he/she has moved). Hence, Anand will have to wait till January 2024, to fulfill his role and serve the community.

As per Marathi Vishwa’s By-Laws, all our elected officers need to be a resident of the state of New Jersey and a member of Marathi Vishwa NJ.

Now a little bit about Anand Chouthai. Anand has been a MV Board of Director for six years (2016-2022). His various roles at MV have been as Secretary and Vendor Management and Communication Lead. At BMM 2022 he chaired the Business Conference segment and was instrumental in securing $105K+ towards donations. His persistence and unwavering vision were instrumental in delivering the most successful business conference in the history of BMM.

He has also been part of BMM 2.0 Business Connect, BMM Karaoke and is further involved in many community and philanthropic activities with a network of friend and well-wishers across many Marathi Mandal’s members across the United States.

We are confident that Anand will represent Marathi Vishwa New Jersey community successfully as BMM Representative from January 2024.
