Marathi Vishwa began its 45th year by welcoming our beloved Bappa and by seeking his blessings. MV Ganeshotsav was celebrated the way we have always done – by coming together as a community and praying together while also enjoying good entertainment and each other’s company. This year we added ‘Atharv Shirsha Pathan’ and childcare was provided during the Natak.

‘Niyam Va Ati Lagu’ natak was a big hit and so was the food and Jallosh team’s Dhol Tasha. Our vendor stalls looked enticing and were hard to resist. We would like to thank all the MV volunteers – Swagat and registration volunteers, stage and backstage, food serving and logistics and the clean up and set breakdown at day’s end. You kept us going and managed to make us all look good by your service. We appreciate each and every helping hand.

Our membership count has surpassed last year’s count and we look forward to another exciting year full of memorable and community-based events.

We also honored Snehal Vaze, our outgoing Trustee (in absentia due to ill health) and our MVCC Operating Committee members – Amol Purav, Mahesh Shirodkar and Deodatta Desai.

We welcome Vihar Deshpande as our new Trustee and Kanchan Joshi as our new Board of Director; Our new BMM Representative will be Anand Chouthai, who will start his term from January 2024.

We ended the day by a fantastic performance by Team Jallosh which is always the highlight for many of our members.

There is still time to join Marathi Vishwa and become a member – we have many more events lined up and we are sure you will not want to miss out on any one of those.
