Marathi Vishwa’s annual picnic, ‘Gaav Jatra – 2026’, held on May 31st, was a great success, bringing together nearly 200 members and non-members for a fun-filled day of community bonding, activities, and celebrations.

The day began with an energizing yoga session conducted by MV Yoga leads, Nilima Nevasekar and Sonali Dalvi, with enthusiastic participation from attendees of all ages. The picnic featured a variety of games and activities, including cricket, musical chairs, team quizzes, and interactive group games, that everyone enjoyed. The winners were rewarded with chocolates, adding to the excitement and friendly competition. Children had a wonderful time participating in the scavenger hunt and winning prizes. The much-awaited water balloon fight was a huge hit with the kids and brought laughter and excitement to the afternoon. A surprise flash mob with energetic Marathi songs by a group of enthusiastic ladies delighted the crowd and added an extra dose of liveliness and vibe to the event. 

Just like the past two years, the picnic provided a platform for Marathi entrepreneurs. Seven local business owners introduced their businesses and shared information about their services, helping promote and support our community’s entrepreneurial spirit.

Delicious refreshments and snacks, including bhel, dabeli, and tea, were served.  We also organised a cake-cutting celebration for kids, men, and women, creating memorable moments.
